The Grosvenor Hotel
Originally built in 1879 this beautiful Victorian property was formerly used as a private residential dwelling before being transformed into the Grosvenor Hotel in 1990.
Since becoming the owners in September 2008 Paul, Lindsey and their team have made huge changes to the hotel as they continually strive to improve the quality and comforts of your stay – something that is as important to them now as it did on the day that they took over.
Currently operating on a bed and breakfast basis, a full locally sourced and freshly cooked breakfast is included in your overnight price.
Our two guest lounges and TV room are a friendly and inviting place to relax outside of your room and hosts a fully stocked licensed bar, a selection of freshly groundcoffees and bar snacks. We have also invested heavily in a business quality WiFi set up, providing free unlimited wireless fibre broadband throughout all guest rooms and communal areas.
2014 has been a particularly big year for development as we have recently completed a £600k expansion into an adjoining property seeing us increase from 29 to 41 ensuite rooms. The new wing of the hotel opened on schedule on the 1st June and as well as the new rooms provides us with a larger breakfast room, TV lounge, new reading lounge (no TV!) and two new small function rooms available for hire.
Being situated on the Plymouth Hoe, just 50 yards from the stunning views of the Plymouth Sound and less than 200 yards from the modern and bustling city centre, the Grosvenor Plymouth is the perfect residence for a wide variety of visitors. Whether for work, study, a holiday, visiting family or simply a well earned break, the personal touch and comforts of the hotel will certainly ensure an enjoyable stay.
